Description

Start in a alcove with a pine tree.
P1- Climb out of the alcove on pockets to steep slab above. 5.10
P2-Continue on a steep long pitch of micro edges and slab. At a right-facing corner move left, around the arĂȘte to the steep finish on plates.5.10+

Location

This route is on the north face of Sheepshead. It starts in a pocketed alcove about 100 yards below the saddle between Muttonhead and Sheepshead

FA: Scott Ayers. Pitch 1: 5.10+; Pitch 2: 5.11-. From the left this is the forth of five routes that comprise the Barnyard Wall section of The Sheepshead.

While I didn't care for the first pitch due to the crumbly character of the rock, the second pitch is amazing and perhaps the best single pitch on the Sheepshead. Oct 14, 2013
