Plasma Alliance

5.12c/d, Sport, 90 ft (27 m),  Avg: 3.1 from 8 votes
FA: G. Ritter
Tennessee > Obed & Clear Creek > Tieranny Roofs

Description

Plasma is a one move wonder. The face leading up to the roof is another excellent pumpy and slightly techy climb by itself. It checks in around 11b/c. The roof leading up to the crux is some of the easiest climbing in the Tierrany roofs. Up to the crux is probably 11c.

The crux however is another matter. Prepare for a big move to a bad sloper. Pump is of no concern on this one. Bring your bouldering power. Stout for the grade.

Location

Starts right of the Probe and Tierrany.

[Hide Comment] For me the face is the best and hardest of the Tieranny Wall faces. I would put it at 5.11d/12a. Then enjoy a no-hands, blast through jugs to a no-hands double knee bar, and fire the sick V6 boulder problem! Jun 3, 2018

[Hide Comment] The name comes from the old Plasma Alliance donation center where Knoxville dirtbag climbers would go donate plasma for gas and gear money. Once I passed out after donating since I didn't eat properly before hand, then I proceeded to fake passing out as I was being escorted out as they did to make sure you were ok to leave. The nurse didn't find it as funny as 20 year old me did. Good times. Apr 11, 2023
