Access Issue: Mt. St. Helena Crags - Fire Damage from Fall 2017 Details

Dedicated to all those chest thumpers on the internet. You know who you are :) Up the obvious corner right of the black slab with the scoop. Use the large features both on the face and in the crack to tackle a vertical section. Eventually pull onto the steeper headwall above and trend right to the anchors. Longer climb than it looks from the ground.

Middle wall just right of black slab. This route is the faint dihedral.

Some of the more important footholds on this route are loose (don't feel solid and actually move) but did not break away. I'd use caution on the first 4-5 bolts to make sure each hold is good.

I'd also recommend rap down because there is some serious rope drag. May 13, 2013
