FA: unknown
Virginia > Shenandoah & NW… > Shenandoah NP > Old Rag > Lower God's Area

Description

A nice crack line way back on the right side of the Bushwack Corridor. Mildly sustained climbing up the crack, passing a small roof, until it ends forcing you over to the right to the Briar Ledge at the base of the bolted route God Knows.

Location

Far back on the righthand wall of the Bushwack Corridor. Rap off the big tree or haul your packs and climb a route on Briar Ledge or Middle Gods Ledge.

Protection

Standard rack, no big cams. No fixed anchors but you will be on a fairly sizable ledge system. Use the 1st bolt on God Knows as a directional. This climb is a good candidate for fixed anchors which should increase its popularity.

[Hide Comment] Not as nice of a line as it looks.

The crack peeters out mid-way up and a fall into the tree wouldn't be pretty. In this section, the gear is sparse and thin. Oct 18, 2015
