Description

Start sitting on jug flake down and right. Climb up using compression encountering a tough move to a sloper near the end. A good problem. This was the Harpoon Project.

Location

JUST past railroad amphitheater take a steep trail up past some cliffs and over other small ones. Go Straight uphill through the talus field and up into the trees. Lots of rock around this hidden little spot. Definitely saw some cool stuff and will be back. Alternatively Take the balanced rock trail to the top. Walk 5 or so minutes toward the north shore and 225 paces after the last obvious stairs head down hill into the trees.

Protection

2-3 pads and a spotter.

I can confirm the grade of V5 with the alternate beta. That seems about right to me. Aug 25, 2015
Would be curious to hear what beta you used. Personally I could see it dropping to a 6 as it's pretty comparable to Jenga and Massive. Felt slightly easier than Weasel, Tunder or White Knight I guess. Aug 25, 2015

With alternate beta this problem goes at no more than V5. I didn't deviate from the overhang and used holds that Ian had used during his FA. Aug 24, 2015
Nice send Ian! I hoping to get back on this thing Sunday. Oct 15, 2012

There was a bee hive next to the problem and I was putting my camera too close to them and one of them stung me in the eye. Hence the name. Potential in this area for sure. Good find and thanks for posting this one up guys. Aug 10, 2012
