FA: G. Kirchhoff, A. Mollard - July 2012
Utah > S Central Utah > Jungle, on the… > Upper Canopy

Description

A great, exciting line that follows a double set of hand cracks to an arete, then back across a ledge to the anchor. Well protected, steep and sustained, this line offers great climbing, A must do for the area.

The first ascent was reminiscent of the game Donkey Kong, only instead of hucking barrels, we were tossing choss blocks.

Location

On the far left side of the Upper Canopy. This line starts low in a recess and follows two, left leaning hand cracks.

Protection

Gear up to a #3 camalot, stoppers and slings. An extra #2 and #3 camalot or equivalent may be nice to have.

[Hide Comment] This visually striking crack is what made us trudge around the talus to its end. The start is a bit intimidating but protects well and deposits you in a perfect steep hand crack which you'll be forced to leave for the arete.
Put up ground up OS in the rain, Jungle style. Dec 21, 2012
