Description

Goldrush climbs the big left facing corner on the Atta-Scrap Wall. The climb looks like a mini version of crack in the woods. Climb the corner up to the roof. Traverse left out the roof and make a hard semi blind placement (#1 worked). Move up and clip a bolt that protects the exciting finish. A bolt anchor awaits on top.

Location

Goldrush is located on the "Atta-Scrap Wall". This wall is located below the main cliff. Walk right along the base of the low angle slab below the main wall to a gully that runs up the right edge of the slab. This will bring you to the left side of the Atta-Scrap Wall.

Protection

Standard Rack, 1 bolt, bolt anchor

This route still only has 1 bolt on the upper section. I think Mattyo might have been on a different route. Jul 31, 2016

just wondering who added the bolts to this route? it is common practice to ask the FA party before you alter a line. I originally put a bolt in the upper section where the rock was gritty, the rest took excellent gear. Please be respectful and don't add bolts to established lines wherever you see fit. I am not mad, i just thought it would be a good time to bring up some climbing ethics!

Like most altered routes in the north conway area the bolts will probably vanish! Jul 26, 2016

There are now 3 bolts on this pup: 1 at the base to protect the challening opening sequence, one over the bulge and one more above that, just below the chains. The 3rd is probably not needed but... Jul 25, 2016
