5.8

5.9, Sport, 60 ft (18 m),  Avg: 1.8 from 14 votes
FA: M. Dudley
Colorado > Leadville > Camp Hale > Warrior's Wall

Description

Even though the rating in Tom Perkins' guidebook is 5.8, I would personally call this route 5.9+. It has one distinct balancy crux that easily makes it more difficult than Warrior's Wail (the "5.9" just down the wall). Overall, it is a good route with fun moves.

Location

This is the leftmost bolted route on the wall.

Protection

7-ish bolts with coldshuts at the top.

[Hide Comment] This one has a super high first bolt (after easy scrambling), followed by a short dihedral, a balancy traverse, and some blank as f*** slab. Definitely hard for an 8! This is still the left-most bolted route on the wall. Sep 8, 2017
