Description

The crux is the lower 1/3 of the route.

Location

This route is to the right of Lost Face 5.6. It is a thin crack that splits. The left split connects with Lost Face. The right to the top out for IBEX.

The LF Finger Crack heads left and joins LF proper. The alternative finish (Lost in the Woods?) goes straight up a finger sized crack and tops out at a tree back in the IBEX gully. (Photo by Andy Hansen)

Burt, this is a different route than the finger crack. As explained in the description, the finger crack route heads left at the split and joins up with LF. You can instead continue straight up at the split (i.e., stay on the right fork) for a shorter, but pleasant climb. Sep 8, 2012

In the book it states that you could either top out above Ibex or continue with Lost Face. As far as I'm concerned this is not a different line. If anything it is a minor variation of a variation. Sep 9, 2012
