[Hide Comment] First ascent was by Gene Larson. I'm not sure of the year, late 1980's I believe. Jun 5, 2012

[Hide Comment] I have the FA listed as Paul Muehl, Gene Larson, and Howard Doyle, Aug. 4, 1984.

Not sure which guide this info came from - maybe Tolle's? Take it with a grain of salt. Brent was around then, I was yet to be born. Jun 5, 2012

[Hide Comment] As you know, Gene started the names of his routes with 'Just', which is why I thought he was in on it. I climbed with Paul and Gene for the first time in '86, I don't think that was the first year he was in the Needles. Jun 5, 2012

[Hide Comment] A single 70 M rope just makes it to the top of the formation in a single mega pitch if you head slightly right after passing the anchors and place extended gear sparingly to prevent rope drag. Jun 14, 2021
