The Old Forge area is a patchwork of private and public property. Please respect private property and posted signs, and avoid climbing or trespassing on private property unless you have permission from the landowner. Details

At a high point move up and right across open slab to the corner, climb the corner (great gear) for 50' then straight up the wonderfully textured (moon rock) low angle slab with pro maybe every 25' to an overlap at about 125' then traverse right for about 50' along the base of the overlap to the trees 50’. The overlap finish looks challenging and about 40’ higher.

good gear most of the way up to '3 but if making the traverse a '4 would be helpfull
Double ropes were used

I soloed this. Since I wasn't putting in pro, I didn't need to stick to the corner. I began at the low point of the slab, went up to a small ledge, then angled right to the top of the corner. The rock differs from Chapel Pond Slab. Gneiss instead of anorthosite, I assume. Interesting pockets in the rock above the corner. To descend, I traversed right to the trees and did two rappels.
