RAIN AND WET ROCK The sandstone in Red Rocks is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Details

Description

This is the first dihedral encountered as you approach Dog Wall. The route heads up a series of about 5 steep steps with slabs between them and ends in a short chimney through a small roof. The crux is at the last step before the roof.

Location

the crux last step is nowhere near 5.8, it might be 5.6 on a bad climbing day, but seriously isn't even close to 5.8. May 30, 2013
The crux "last step" is considerably harder than 5.5, more like 5.8, making this a more serious route, especially since it looks quite easy from the bottom. Jul 22, 2012
