This route climbs mild terrain for three or four bolts to a ledge. From here employ delicate movement with stemming to overcome the crux. Midway through rest at an in-cut before jutting up and left. Ascend the final section with technique and opposing forces for a beautiful finish.

This route was named after a discussion the first ascentionist had with the rancher. The rancher said there were two rules: "Close the gate and don't disrespect the cattle".

"Don't Disrespect The Cattle" is three routes to the right of "Morning Mate". "Horsewhipped" is to the immediate left and "The Barn Door" is to the immediate right.

15 bolts to biners. This route may require a 70m rope.
