Description

Start seated just to the right of Scary Monsters on good crimps. move up to the sidepull crimp rail and then gain the arete. Climb the arete staying on the left side.

Location

On the Scary Monsters boulder atop the cliff band above Big Joe.

Protection

Pads, flat landing.

[Hide Comment] Right side of arete is a bit soft for v4 and robs you of good movement. Stay left for full value or better yet climb it both ways. Apr 8, 2017

[Hide Comment] Anyone know what the line that starts directly on the two crimps on the lower arete is (to the right of this)? It goes basically straight up the arete and uses many of the same holds as this, but a couple opening moves are different and felt very fun. We did it and it felt around V4/V4+ May 24, 2021
