9 glorious Blue Mountains pitches with plenty of ironstone buckets, as one might imagine.

Please consult book and/or guide... hike from second car park, rap down twice on 2 60m ropes, hike some more, climb up and walk out.. full, fun day.

Good bolts and belays on comfy ledges, no major runouts.

[Hide Comment] I thought the route was just so-so until we got to the upper pitches. 80 meters of vertical jug hauling make it all worthwhile. Superior! May 23, 2012
[Hide Comment] This climb is actually called "Bunny Bucket Butress" it has a local rating, mine, of and 18. This converts to a 5.8. I am now climbing in America, this is definatly not
a 5.10a. Sep 4, 2013

[Hide Comment] Yeah, this climb is definitely a 5.8 (18). I remember us catching a train from Newie with our rickety rental bikes, getting lost on the way back and swarmed with flies, and then rushing to catch the last train by a few minutes. Great adventure. Dec 17, 2015

[Hide Comment] If the route is 5.8 then grade it 16 not 18 mate.
Climbed this route, Randy Rabbit Ridge and Hotel California. As a US based climber and comparing this route to its neighbors it should be 5.10a
Well bolted for folks breaking into the grade. Oct 3, 2019
[Hide Comment] 8 pitches!

call me soft but there’s definitely 10a moves on this climb. It was a blast though and a great way to experience the blueys ! Jan 29, 2023
