Description Suggest change

On the south side of this large buttress is what appears to be a 30ft and 4ft wide runnel. Its not 30ft, its 3-400ft. A relentless occupation with no escape and when I did it, was too thin to put in any ice screws into it. It was about 3" thick. That's how it was when I climbed it. It tested my strength of endurance. Otherwise its an interesting naturalism that is totally dependent on the condition of a particular winter's season. It's on the west facing crag. Some years dark and totally hidden by the trees but not this year, it has frozen past the sides of the runnel.

Location Suggest change

Just south of the big buttress and the same approach as the Assortment climb.

Protection Suggest change

No pro the year I no rope soloed it. It may be fat this year. The walls of the runnel are about 3ft high.
