Giant Sucker

V2+, Boulder,  Avg: 3.3 from 14 votes
FA: unknown
New York > Adirondacks > K: Northern Region > Mckenzie Pond B… > Second Set > Second Set Boulder

Description

Stand start at the slab. Go up the slab and over the bulge to the left. Top out high using the right rising seam. Generally agreed to be harder than V2, even though it is documented as such.

Location

This is one of the first real noticeable climbs on the Second Set Boulder when you first get there from the First Set. It is the big slab just to the right of where the trail puts out.

Protection

Definitely two pads for this one. It's tall and committing

All stars for a slab. So rad.

[Hide Comment] Once your at the shallow pockets you have a very committing move to the top. Super scary make sure to push out if you fall. Jul 11, 2012

[Hide Comment] Easier if you're taller. I'm 5'11" and I could reach high to skip a scary finish move that my friend who's 5'7" was forced to do. Apr 12, 2015
