This route climbs out the ravine of Willey Brook. Follow the ice up the river coming across sections of 2. The climb goes on for many pitches.

Park as for Mt. Willard. Walk the tracks and continue past cinema gully for 300 yards to the huge trestle. Go right before the bridge down into the ravine. Walk up the right side of the stream for a 1/4 mile to a fork. Go right and follow the stream for a 100 yards to the ice. There will be rock slabs on the right.

Climbed this route in absolutely rotten conditions recently. It might be enjoyable during a normal winter but this year it's about 6-8 inches of swiss-cheese ice and snow over very actively flowing water. Might be wise to avoid. Feb 4, 2012
