Sit start by the pinyon pine tree with a big right hand sidepull. Move up the overhang through a pair of good left hand shelves, bump the right hand up to a sidepull or edge, stick the lip, rock onto the slab.

Location

This is on the South-face of the Essential Boulder, next to the pinyon pine tree.

Protection

Pad or two, there is a tree and a rock off to each side of the problem.

[Hide Comment] The left hand jug broke off, I haven't personally seen it, but I would guess it goes a bit harder now. Dec 11, 2011

[Hide Comment] I checked out the problem and played around on it...the broken left hand hold definitely adds some difficulty. I didn't try sending it, but I would guess it to be about a hard 4 now. Feb 4, 2012

[Hide Comment] Repeated the problem, today. Old method post-break is much harder. Found an alternate method which is likely easier than the original. Adjusted the grade to reflect my experience. Mar 4, 2017
