Description

Bob struck gold with yet another oxymoronic Joshua Tree sport climbing classic.

After a short section of easy slab, pass a horizontal and commit to the steeper more continuous face above where you will encounter very balancy and sequential moves with some trickery thrown in as well. Difficult for the grade and a tough onsight. Easily four stars out of five.

Location

Right side of the face between My Favorite Things (aka Blue Grass) and Blue Ribbon and just right of parallel black streaks up high.

Protection

7 bolts, 2 bolt anchor/rap (80') (all bolts 3/8")
optional 2.5" cam

Very good route, with sustained, hard climbing. No gimme. Oct 28, 2011
