Description

Traverse from the starting stone step to the middle of the Tunnel. Real pumpy as it is hard to use standard steep techniques when traversing.

Location

Start from stone step, traversing right until middle of tunnel.

Protection

Pads. Or just freewheel.

I don't know what the hell Ed and Dominion are talking about. This is about as far from a gym as you can get. Yes, it is man made, but as near a crystallization of natural rock climbing as can be, all rock, outside. Was one of the greatest assets of Chapel Hill, now obstructed for the 'greenway'-an 8-10 foot wide, 3-4 foot high slab of concrete obstructing/channeling the creekbed into the opposite (from where it ran) wall.
