Description

Sit start on the diagonal rail on the left side of the East face. Make a big move up and left to the nice sloper. Traverse right to a nice hold and make a big move up and right to a poor pinch. Move up left into the lip then move into the horizontal crack to topout. Be careful for brittle footholds while pulling the lip due to not much traffic.

Protection

Pad and spotter for the topout.

FA is Mike Johnson. I don't know the name he gave it. Oct 19, 2011

Hey Chris, thanks a lot for the information. I have actually been trying that other line as well, and yeah I would agree on the grade. I will change the FA and name on this in hopes that you can find that info. Now back to trying to right-leaning line. Thank you again. Oct 18, 2011
This problem has been done many times. I know I did it as early as 2002, and it was already on the circuit at that point. I have no idea who has the FA, and none of us really discussed names of the problems. I'll contact some other folks who might know about the name.

There is a project, however, that continues right where this one goes straight up to top out. From the second jug, do a hard cross to a very painful crystal, unwind, then bump to the top of the boulder. A few folks and I have done all the moves, but I'm unaware of anyone linking the whole thing, especially from a sit start on the far left. Seems like the whole rig might be in the V9 range.
