Description

An amazing line through endless tufas except for the huge one which broke a few years ago and made a new crux. Try to rest on the tufas as you go, there are about three to rest on.

This route should be cleaned on top rope to avoid ripping off any tufas.

Location

On the right side of the Grand Grotto.

Protection

bolts

[Hide Comment] Having a few long runners and 20cm draws can really help reduce rope drag up high. Jul 25, 2014

[Hide Comment] Beautiful rock, but more about keeping it cool on some tough clips than the difficulty of the climbing. Nov 4, 2019

[Hide Comment] Wild route! Heads up to stay close to the wall when belaying. My partner ripped off a meter long tufa while cleaning the route on TR. It was just off-route, so the climb wasn't impacted, but the base was! By some luck it missed all of the people hanging out down below. Spooky stuff. Jan 8, 2020
[Hide Comment] So Effin' Good. If you're a crack climber, look for some hand jams when it gets dicey...trad background made it feel like something you'd find at the Cookie Cliff... Jul 29, 2020
[Hide Comment] Two kneepads are useful. Lots of good holds and rests. The higher up you go, the more kneebars you get! Long draws are useful at the beginning and the last bolt before the traverse to the left. Nov 13, 2022
