Description

This little climb is pure novelty. The rock is excellent. This super short climb's length is its only draw back, but it seems surreal nonetheless. Remember what they say about a tower being worth more than a wall, and it is to be appreciated for what it is.

Location

On the left at the entrance of the HC Canyon, it is the smallest of the "towers" and 10 seconds from the dirt road and parked car.

Protection

One bolt protects this climb, but a #1 Camalot can also be placed at the lip before the mantle move.

A lone bolt is on top for the descent.

I climbed it to the right of the bolted line, and, in the process of testing rocks for footholds, I knocked a rock loose and discovered a little purple geo-caching tube with a note in the hollow left by the rock--not bad for not even having its coordinates. We put the rock back before we left. In retrospect, it does seem like the perfect landmark for something like that. Jun 13, 2012

Fun little tower. Yeah, we put a couple bolts in the thing on November 1, 2008; one to protect the mantle and one to lower from. I'd never heard of anyone climbing in the canyon, and then later (I think it was the same day) we were amazed to find and climb some super loose sport route on a tower further back in the canyon. I wouldn't doubt that someone did it long ago. It's pretty obvious and not that loose. Aug 31, 2011
This was free solo'd in the 90's. Local Provo hardmen on a rest day drinking....Jake Johnson if I remember right. Aug 31, 2011
Tristan Higbee, myself and another guy(?) bolted this (likely not the FA) a few years back. Aug 27, 2011
