Description

Good rock quality for the Alabama Hills with a move towards the top that will make aspiring 5.6 leaders pause.

Location

Around the right side of The Tall Wall. Scramble over some boulders and this climb will be the first one you come to on your left. Start on top of a boulder.

Protection

5 bolts to Mussy Hooks.

[Hide Comment] Fun, if a little windy route. The move discussed above I believe refers to the fact that you wind up with the last bolt almost on top of the arete at which point you may find yourself level, but adjacent to, the anchors. I was able to safely reach the anchors from a comfortable spot on the arete. Not sure if the FA intended this to be the route...nonetheless, it was leadable without too much fright. Mar 27, 2017
