Description

Wild Kippers ascends positive and quite sharp rock for two bolts to some huge pockets at a horizontal. Move up into a shallow groove and the third bolt. Climb through the groove, right of the bolts, through the crux to another good horizontal. Traverse left up through an off-set crack to shared anchors with Sockeye, the 5.10 route left of Wild Kippers.

Location

As you approach Fish Wall, you'll pass an unknown route up a slightly north-facing wall. 25 feet beyond this unknown route is a panel of rock with two routes on it that is dark and sharp down low and smooth and tan up high. Wild Kippers is the right route of these two.

Protection

5 bolts to a shared anchor with Sockeye to the the left.

Sad to see people complaining that rock is rock. It is not all bomber nor screwed in like holds in a gym. Test your holds like a real climber and learn to be outside. Nov 10, 2013

Still lots of loose stuff around this route. Belayers, beware! We knocked off several small and medium-sized rocks that could have done some serious damage. May 6, 2013
Agreed, still a little bit of cleaning to be done on this one, but I think it will end up being a good route though. Mar 18, 2013

CLEAN YOUR ROUTE! I pulled off 2 softball-size rocks on the bolt line that SHOULD NOT have been there. Take some pride in putting up routes. Mar 11, 2012
