Access Issue: Current San Diego County Advisories Details

Location [Suggest Change]

In the center of the wall. Almost directly beneath the cave at the top.

Description [Suggest Change]

This is a very fun climb. The crux is after a very nice rest, then you have to get on this overhanging arete, and back on to the wall. The only strange part is once you get back onto the flat wall, then clip in, there are no more bolts for a while. I did not go any higher than this, so maybe someone can chime in and confirm that there are shuts at the top.

The old Kennedy Hubbard guide has it as bolts to shuts. The rating in the book is just 5.10 so this could be a different route, tho the description looks to be a perfect match. How was the rock quality on this route? Anything going up that big cave? Nov 7, 2017
