[Hide Comment] After the vertical start, this can be climbed without using your hands all the way to the anchor. Pretty fun to do it this way. I did a knee dab around the last bolt though it was probably unnecessary;) Mar 11, 2016

[Hide Comment] Great climb for beginner climbers. Took my whole family (with climbers as young as 5 years old). The route must be lead in order to set up a top rope. The first part was a little challenging for the uninitiated, but they had fun.

The bolts were in really great condition. A little bit of loose rock, but it's mostly been cleaned by now, and we only had a few pebbles fall. The anchors are in great condition (the right anchor's hanger moves a bit, but the bolt itself is solid) and are on top of a ledge. I ran slings in order to dangle biners off the ledge in order to have a nice top-rope set up without any drag.

Thank you to those of you who set and maintain this route. We had a wonderful time! Apr 7, 2016

[Hide Comment] Jordy, does the bolt itself spin or just the cold shut? Both cold shuts on this climb have been spinning on this climb for years, but last time I was at Fume Wall, the actual bolts didn't spin. It's fine if the cold shut or hanger spins, just not when the bolt spins. The winter freeze/thaw cycle certainly could have worked the bolt loose, though.

If I remember correctly, they are wedge bolts, so if they're spinning, then the bolt will need to be replaced. I'd be happy to do that next time I'm up there, but that probably won't be until school gets out in May, so if it needs to be replaced I'll let Ian know. Mar 18, 2017

[Hide Comment] Directional needed to prevent hitting the tree to the left. Very fun route. The start is indeed bouldery and trickier than it looks. May 27, 2023
