Puzzlement

5.7, Trad, TR, 35 ft (11 m),  Avg: 2.5 from 6 votes
FA: unknown
Wisconsin > Baraboo Range > Devil's Lake > E Bluff 08 - N End > Tomahawk Rocks

Description

That puzzling size that is a bit wide for off-width, but too narrow to chimney.

As is typical for our quartzite, you might use some off-width holds (arm bars, heel-and-toes), but you don't really have to make any off-width moves - there is always an edge someplace, if you can figure out how to use it!

Location

The offwidth/squeeze chimney at the right hand end (south end) of the formation.

Protection

A couple of #6s, or Big-Bros.

Small gear works, but big gear would have been better!

[Hide Comment] Led this with gear to 2 inches ... barely adequate. This would be a comfortable lead if I could remember to bring the big gear next time. Jun 27, 2012
