Quality route that gets you to the highest point on the peak. Very satisfying.
Route is cleaned up well.
Crux is between bolts 2 and 3.

Favorite Route...Ever.

True Summit Block, right of Meltdown.
Climb the slab on the right, undercling, and lean out to make your first clip.

New 5th bolt as of 6-10-12 above the crux - 5 Bolts

New anchor with rap rings at the top.

This route has a fantastic position and leads to the highest point on the Peak. I worked it off an on for a year with a couple partners and rated it between 5.10b and 5.10c. Then one day while I was working out the moves, a key foothold broke off an it suddenly jumped to 5.11! As I worked and cleaned the route it continued to evolve. Some days a new crimper would appear and the route would get easier. Other days, a hold would snap and it would get harder. It's a lot like the rock to the right of Flakes to Fresno on the Hikers Summit. When it finally jumped to 5.11 I gave up and Aaron picked up the torch. Have not been back but I suspect it will continue to "settle" a bit. Please get out and climb it and let us know where it lands. If nothing else, it's a great photo op! Mar 30, 2015
