Description

The start begins with the under-clinging holds under the point. The crux is the right side move around the corner while standing on the hueco.

Location

Starting in the "mouth" moving up initially and then slightly right up the arete. Down-climb the back side where the rock is lower.

Protection

Pad and spotter.

Isn't this "Face Opposite Pyramid" V0 in Urban Rock (page 57)? I've climbed it a few times over the years, can't remember it being V2 or even V1 but perhaps something broke off... Jun 20, 2011

Couple things... Possibly/Probably not a new route since the boulder is right on the trail and someone went through the effort to put two bolts on top. They probably went ahead and climbed the only two obvious lines.

I would also say the face is more of a gem, but in all fairness I didn't top this one out cause I was by myself and those rocks underneath and grainy foot smears weren't inspiring with how pumped I was at the time.

And for anyone looking for the boulder, it doesn't actually have the words King Cobra on it. May 16, 2011
