The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that: 1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor. 2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.
This climb provides a long, sustained pitch of high quality climbing. The crux is a 50 foot long finger crack, with some face and lieback moves. The hand crack above is easier.

This climb starts as a finger crack, just left of the south arete.
