The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that: 1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor. 2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.
Easy face climbing leads up to a short overhang. The crux involves reaching over a bulge to some good hand jams. It felt like 5.10C to me (I'm 6'0"), but would likely be significantly harder if you're shorter than 5'11". Above this overhang is a wild bombay chimney.

This climb follows the crack on the right end of the wall, just right of "It Don't Mean A Thing ..."
