[Hide Comment] I never had the bouldering guide to South Mountain, so feel free to submit the correct name/grade/fa and I will correct the description. I never got too into the bouldering circuit at South Mountain (I'm a shite boulderer, you see), but running out to the traverse with some water, a coupla beers, and the dog was a fun way to find some solitude in a beautiful desert canyon while also getting a fierce pump. Best part? No pad is really required on this traverse! Similarly, the vertical routes on the Entrace boulder are a little testy without a pad sometimes, but the cruxes are low so you are not really putting it all out there. Have fun! Apr 9, 2011

[Hide Comment] This was one of the first problems Jay Anderson and I did in Pima Canyon @ mid 80s. The sand was a bit lower and one of the sit starts on the right side is now higher and the footholds seem to be getting lower! Dec 23, 2011

[Hide Comment] I'm pretty sure we did the FA and the name was the "traverse" so it fits. We did a lot of the problems given goofy names by JG. This one is fine. At the time, as you can imagine, there were trees and shrubs at the base, now long gone. Oct 17, 2012
