Colorado > CO Ice & Mixed > Vail Ice > Rigid Designator Amph…

Description

This is a fickle line that needs some good ice conditions on the far left edge of the 7th Tentacle. Power through some roof moves to gain the ice at the lip. Crank the lip, and finish straight up the ice to a 2-bolt anchor that hangs from the roof. The route has been retouched 1/21 due to broken holds and loose rock.

Location

The new bolts are found on the large roof, left of the 7th Tentacle ice. The 3 obvious bolts begin left and trend right to thin ice at the lip.

Protection

3 bolts, ice screws. New 2-bolt chain anchors hang from the roof at the end of the ice.
