Start on sidepulls, move to a higher left sidepull, then 3 finger slot. Bump right to the undercling then use your imagination.

a couple of pads and a spot would be smart.

Don't think this is a V8, or very scary. The moves are committing, but the landing is flat and the fall is pretty straight down. Suberb V7! Jun 30, 2011

It's not in the route description, but it says in the Caldiero guide that the original line assumes a sit start. I did it today with the sit start, and thought the sit start kind of sucked, but it is definitely a bit harder. Just checking. Nov 27, 2012
Stand start felt V5. Sit adds to the difficulty but not really to the quality. Unless you're out to tick a 7 or love bunchy moves on bad feet the stand is the way to go. If the landing used to warrant a PG13 rating it doesn't anymore. Oct 18, 2017

Not v5 from the stand, haven't heard anyone else suggest that as a grade so figured I'd chime in. Seems about the same grade as "Black Sea" or "Dead Sea", whatever you want to call it. easier 7 from the stand and harder 7 from the sit seems fair (the sit move adds almost nothing to the difficulty, one easy ish hand move and a quick foot move get you into the stand). I do agree about the quality of the sit, the moves kinda stink. Nov 1, 2018

This problem doesn't warrant the PG13 rating at all. Yes there is a hill behind the landing, but the landing is wide enough to fit two pads side by side and there isn't any move on this problem that would be uncontrollable enough to send you falling down the hill. Also the top out is very very easy compared to most problems in joes. Great problem to do on you own, don't let the PG13 scare you away. Apr 4, 2019
