Green Block Test Piece

V5, Boulder,  Avg: 3.7 from 6 votes
FA: unknown
W Virginia > Coopers Rock St… > Rdside > Green Block

Stand-start on obvious holds and figure out a tweaky sequence on bad holds to the jug. This problem on a good day feels V4 at best and impossible on dank days. I almost gave this one a V6 in the guide, but at the last minute, chickened out. Originally rated V4 by Steve Cater who nabbed the FA.

The obvious line on the center of the face of the Green Block. (Visible from the trail.)

[Hide Comment] This problem is definitely a step above the rest of the classic V5s in the forest when it comes to difficulty. It requires an odd blend of balance, finger strength and agressive attitude for the mini-lunge to the finishing jug. A long wingspan is a major asset for this one. May 29, 2011
