Location

As you enter the cave on the wooden path when you get to the "glacier," the wall on the left exits via a hole. That is the route. The TR is set from above. You just gotta find the right hole.

This route is super fun, but I was sick as a dog when I climbed it so I only got about 15-20 feet off the ground. My dad and I, who have grown used to climbing in Kentucky, rated this higher than a 5.9+; we figured closer to a high 5.10 (what can I say, we're used to all those Red River jugs!) After talking to a couple local climbers, we could tell that our regional ideas of grades were very different. We also have a theory that dad may be the first ascent on this route, as he used to free solo all the faces in this cave back in the 70's when he was young and still lived at home. Aug 13, 2015
