Description
One of the best routes of the grade at Jackson
Location
The leftmost (of four) route on The Monument's south side. Next to the Unclaimed 5.9.
[Hide Photo] Stubborn Swede is the left-most route on this face. When you're up close, you can see the bolts and anchors, so it's easy to pick out the route.
[Hide Photo] Ground anchor for soloing Stubborn Swede.
[Hide Photo] Climber on Stubborn Swede Great climb
[Hide Photo] Stubborn Swede. First day leading and loved it! Heartland guide to SoiLL says it's 6 draws and an anchor, but it is only 5 as you can see in the picture.
[Hide Comment] Love this climb keeps you interested all the way. Turns from pockets on the bottom traversing up the ledge then finishing out on a slabby top.

[Hide Comment] One of the best climbs of the weekend-- as a new leader, this route had everything-- steep section, traverse, slab, jugs-excellent route.

[Hide Comment] Wow. This route feels like a perfect intro to Jackson style climbing - plenty of smearing and open handed side pulls, but actual holds everywhere you look. Wish I'd tried this a long long time ago.
