DescriptionVery wide route with tons of possibilities.
The first section is a very wide double shelf about 20m high.
The top of these shelf can also be reached by a trail through the trees on the left to setup a top-rope.
The second section is a vertical wall of ice with many choices:
On the left, you are faced with a fairly regular section.
In the middle, you have a corner which makes the going a little bit easier.
On the right is the ever dripping main flow.
The route tops off in a gully where a belay/rap can be done off the trees.
LocationFollow the instructions to Lac Sylvère.
Park on the north side of the road near the sugar shack drive.
Hike up the drive and take the climbers trail on your left before reaching the shack.
At the fork in the trail, take a right up the hill.
Avoid taking the old climber's trail, it crosses through the maple grove and is actually steeper than the new ones.
The trail continues right up to the base of the climb.
