Description

Short flow of ice to play on if you happen to be in the area, and by short I mean 15-20 feet. The ice comes in thick, but is very smooth and bulgy.

Location

About a mile up the Stanley Canyon trail there is a small waterfall and flow that freezes up. Its steepest at the bottom and gets lower angle as you go up. Its not worth seeking out, but more of something that is ok to play on if you are in the area.

Protection

ice screws. You could set up a Toprope with some ice screws higher up if you wanted.
