Super Thin

5.9, Trad, 35 ft (11 m),  Avg: 2.2 from 30 votes
FA: unknown
California > Lake Tahoe > I-80 Corridor > Indian Springs > Lower Cliffs, Lower Tier

Description

The - you guessed it - thin crack on the left side of the lower tier. Primarily face climbing with just enough protection opportunities. There are no especially hard moves, they'll just seem a bit harder above the small gear you place.

Location

Left side of the lower tier.

Protection

Small nuts and micro cams.

Try to avoid clipping the bolts on the nearby route while you are all geeked out and Elvis legging over a double zero to earn extra trad carbon credits.

[Hide Comment] A heady climb for sure. There isn't much opportunity for protection but the route has good holds. Make sure you're holding onto the wall when you're fixing/placing your gear... I tugged on a nut 10 feet off the ground and ended up decking. Ankles are fine but my pride is quite bruised :( Jul 7, 2019

[Hide Comment] With those other bolts so close, it'll take a very disciplined climber not to cave in to temptation. Good route and plenty fun. Lots of face holds make this a reasonable proposition for the interested leader. Nov 17, 2019
