Access Issue: Permit required for roped climbing.
Details
On your first visit, go to the Blue Ball Barn to get a mandatory (but inexpensive) climbing permit. You must carry the permit with you any time you climb on ropes at Alapocas, or you may be ticketed. This is at 1914 West Park Drive, Wilmington, DE 19803. This MP page for the park shows where to enter the Blue Barn.
Description
Climb the short, chossy, far right bottom corner of the Alapocas main wall. The crux is the final move.
Location
The ledge where a toprope anchor is set can be scrambled up from the left corner fairly easily. One can do a very short rappel off the anchor bolts if not comfortable downclimbing it.
#14 on Topo
Protection
A pair of eyebolts were drilled on top of this route in spring 2010.
