Description

The Golf Ball is an excellent, unique problem on an otherwise featureless blunt arête. Start by crimping crystals and tiny seams on the arete with severe body tension, and all around compression skills. When you get within range deadpoint for the "Golf Ball" hold, a little nob up and left of the arête that looks like a fat peanut. Throw your heels into the mix and hopefully you top out, avoiding the unnerving tumble back to earth. One of the harder compression problems around.

Location

On a boulder stacked on top of the back corner of Alley Rocks. Big, beautiful, tall, and proud.

Protection

Several pads and spotters

JJ, Not sure, but maybe Brian May or Greg Varela. They were pretty busy around Groom back then working new difficult lines. Just a guess. Jun 29, 2015
