In 2011, the Ventura Family (owner of Miguel’s Pizza) purchased the land above the cliff line, and the RRGCC’s 2017 purchase of the land beneath the cliff line and the surrounding areas ensures that the Motherlode, Chocolate Factory, and southeastern end of Sore Heel are climber-owned.

Small holds at the start launch you into continuous 5.12- climbing to the top...seems to have less rests than its neighbors.

A short boulder problem at the start on positive pockets leads to a lay-down rest at the second bolt, then sustained big slopers to the top with very few incut holds that offer a decent recovery. The second best route on the wall IMO (behind Convicted). Mar 29, 2011
