A friction slab start, jugs, a tricky, balancy crux, and then nice plate edges to finish.

Start up the steepening friction slab past the first bolt to a very welcome rail. Clip the second bolt and scrabble upward to gain the tantalizing jugs above. Clip the third bolt, surmount the steep bulge, and then cruise on easier ground through a runout to the fourth bolt.

Take a breather and then start up on good edges until you find yourself temporarily stymied. Figure this bit out, heave a sigh of relief, and pick your way among “elephant ears” to the chains.

Found near the right end of the east side of Building Blocks. Starts on a slab section left of a low-angle chimney and has dark-painted bolt hangers.

9 bolts, chain anchors.

Black bolt hangers right? 10a would be some fine sandbagging...

Maybe you guys are right, but I sure don't remember it being that hard, and I wrote the description the day after I climbed it. Oct 6, 2011

Slab start is a bit ricey; rather LCC-esque. Rest of the route is great rock with interesting movement. Solid 5.10 May 14, 2012

hmmm, I'm guessing the route described here is a new route right of Pinner face. The Bingham guide describes Pinner face as having one pin and one bolt (and no stars). We were able to tr Pinner face from this new route up to the bolt. The pin is gone and a better name for this route would be Chossy face. The new route is quite good and well described here. Stan is correct, this route is a new addition to the right of Pinner Face. I thought the climbing on this new line was in the 10b to 10c range and really fun. Jun 27, 2014

Fun little climb and no longer chossy. 10b maybe 10c. Sep 2, 2014
I was a little tipsy when I did it, so to me it could have been 10a, but that's just the booze talking. Jul 5, 2015
