Access Issue: Private Property - Be Respectful
Details
Please note this area is on private property, not US Forest Service land, and climbers are very fortunate the landowner allows the public to climb here. Please be respectful of this area. Tread lightly, leash your dog and pick up after yourself. Climbing here is a privilege, not a right--please treat it as such.
Description
'Jemez Rock' lists 2 "unnamed" routes right of the
Ow Now slab and left of
Bovine Inspiration and
Eat Mor Chikin. This climb, the left of the two Unnamed's, starts by turning a small cave (crux) and climbs right of an obvious black streak following mainly finger cracks.
Exit by traversing left on the walk-off ledge that forms the top of Ow Now.
Protection
Standard rack.
No anchors at the top, though there may have been at some point. You could set a TR with slings, static cord around boulders, gear, etc.
The Dungeon, NM
The crux is near the ground and crashpads probably protect it better than anything else (other than a TR). The upper part is easy but high enough to get hurt. I don't know if it counts as a boulder problem or a TR climb? (I just posted as per the book). Dec 9, 2012
