Barbed Wire

V9, Boulder,  Avg: 3.6 from 36 votes
FA: Tim Kemple
Rhode Island > Lincoln Woods > Tuolumne Boulder

Description

Good problem on good rock. Traverses right to left with a reach dependent crux to obtain the flat "cigarette" edge at chest height. Has been called v7 by those over six feet, and v11 by those under 5"4'. Either way, its a woods classic.

Starting at the cigarette hold and finishing is probably the best v6 at the woods.

Location

Start right near the tree, head left and up.

[Hide Comment] What's the generally accepted start? The knob on the right with the pedestal boulder below for feet? The sloping ramp for hands with the big ledges for feet? Anything goes? May 12, 2012

[Hide Comment] This problem starts sitting with your right hand on the jug to the right of where the climber starts in this video and your feet on the good footholds to the left... Oct 31, 2012
