Basically a direct sit start to Neil's Lunge. Start matched in obvious slot under the Neil's flake. Make two hard moves to the flake and finish up Neil's. Some guidebooks have this listed as V9 but it is a solid V8.

Seemed about v8 but I hadn't tried it previously Apr 4, 2015

Clutch is definitely V9 now with the much smaller broken hold... Sep 26, 2013
Guess I need to go back and finish up Clutch. Added Soft Clutch as a separate entry. Sep 24, 2013

The clutch variation with the undercling on the left was done long ago and was always called Soft Clutch. Worthwhile variation... Sep 19, 2013
In that case, I climbed a bold new link up similar to Clutch. It's called "Clutching Neil's Rump" and it's the same as clutch but it uses the flake. Roughly V7. Sep 19, 2013

Hey Carlin,

The flake is not on. you go straight up from the big start hold to a now tiny left hand crimp and a right hand on the split finger hold that is the crux of Gassed Off and Rump To Jump. Then continue into Neil's.

Apparently Giossi has repeated it using these holds after the break of the left hand crimp in 2012. Talk to him for more info. sounds like it would be really hard -- V9? Aug 9, 2013
Did something clutch-ish last weekend. Didn't have beta, so I went up to the big undercling flake from the start hold and then into Neil's lunge from there. Was later told that the flake might not be on. V7/8ish? Might be harder if you're short? Was fun. Apr 15, 2013

Has this seen a repeat since the break a few months ago? It seems a lot harder now. Sep 30, 2012
