Description

The 11- start to Stingray leads to 30 ft. or so of trad placements up a neat face and two more bolts that protect the good head finish.

Location

Same start as Stingray. At fourth bolt clip the right hand of two then make an awkward move right into the crack system.

Led this "clean" for the onsight with nuts and hexes (and one micro cam). A good blue metolius and a bomber nut fit in a few feet above the large flake thing, and then nothing to the top. I suppose you may be able to sling something or finagle some gear in up higher, but the climbing is pretty easy and on mostly huge holds. Given some of the other gear routes I've done on Lemmon it's actually kind of surprising that this thing has any bolts on it.
As for the rating, .11-/10+ seems generous. Either way, a fun little climb and an obvious line.
(the Pg-13 rating comes from the bottom section, which doesn't really protect with passive gear. Perhaps some cams could mitigate the ankle buster.) Jun 13, 2015

Did this clean (no bolts clipped) . Two pieces at the top are less than ideal, but everything is bomber under that, so I think a fall from the last few moves would be big but save. May 23, 2011
Thank you, it was not expected so it tasted wonderful! Apr 20, 2011

Just one, Jon, but the correct geir is critical. I have the perfect geir, but I'd prefer not to share :) Aug 5, 2010
